Looking to 2009

The publishing industry is growing and changing daily, and even though other publishers are laying off employees and cutting back, Tate Publishing continues to grow and move forward.

As we look ahead to 2009, I would encourge you to spread the word about this blog to friends, other authors, etc. so that we are able to better connect with the publishing community and answer questions for Tate authors, non-Tate authors, and others in the industry.

We continue to be the very best option for new authors, and we look forward to spreading the word about who we are and what we do. I know Ryan Tate has blogged about all the services we offer, but as I've heard him say many times, one of the worst things we can do is to sit still and maintain the status quo.

In 2009 there will be more offerings, more opportunity, and more success than ever before for Tate Publishing and our authors. We have a model that works, that serves authors, and that enables us to partner with some of the truly best new writers this industry has seen for some time. The best part is that we have a great time doing what we do. We have turned the publishing world on its ear, and we are turning more heads everyday. We strive towards excellence in all that we do, and we will continue to do so.

Perhaps most importantly, though, we continue to build God's Kingdom and to make a difference in the lives of not only our great authors, but also in the churches, youth, and community ministries and services as we penetrate the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We always take some time to reflect on that as a company at this time of year, and I would encourage you to do so as well. Tate Publishing is driven by the fact that we can and will grow the Kingdom through our business, and at Christmas, it becomes clearer and clearer why we do what we do.

This Christmas, I challenge you to consider how you will build the Kingdom in 2009, whether it be through your book, your business, or your ministry. And I would also challenge you to change what you do and how you do it, even when it is uncomfortable. That may lead to your greatest contribution yet.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - Isaiah 9:6

Your post has reinforced something that God has been impressing on my heart and mind. Not about publishing but about my weaknesses!
Blessings and love to you, Marja,

I like your challenge Mark! I have learned that there are two things we people don't like:
1) we don't like the way things are and 2) we don't like change!
So, your words are worth pondering! Thanks, have a great and fruitful 2009!

Hi Mark,

Ryan Tate was nice enough to post this comment on his blog and I thought it would also be good to post it here...

.

Hi Everyone, I just finished a website for Tate Publishing Author John Saint John for his book Tunnel of Light, and thoroughly enjoyed creating it for him.

The reason I am posting a comment here is to invite Authors to help me develop a template that will give Tate Authors a solution for a clean, professional, high quality website where people will enjoy sampling their latest book(s), but at a really reasonable price to create.

Check out my blog on this topic. I appreciate any comments and feedback you may have that will help me in building better online book promotion websites.

You can view/experience John's new website at www.TunnelofLight.info

I thank you for your time. Best of luck to you all in the new year!
Lane

P.S. When creating the Book Promotion Website for John Saint John, I was impressed with the dedication and quick response from the people at Tate Publishing. I received all the appropriate files and online store links in record time. Thank you to everyone at Tate for their help.
