In an era when other publishers – including many of the most recognizable traditional houses – continue to scale back and struggle, Tate Publishing continues to grow and impress major players in the publishing industry.
Our most recent reports from key distribution channels show that we have moved into the top twenty of CBA (Christian Bookseller Association) publishers, and we should crack the top ten in the next calendar year.
We are one of the fastest-going publishers in major distribution circles, holding partnerships with Ingram/Spring Arbor, Appalachian, Baker & Taylor, Anchor, and others.
So what does this mean?
For one, it is especially exciting to hear those kinds of projections in today’s economic climate. But it also means we can’t sit back. We have to continue to be aggressive and set the pace for an industry that is constantly changing. It is our constant goal to give our authors the best opportunity to have a voice in the publishing world through our marketing plan. But it is clear (and very encouraging) that our business and marketing model have proven to be effective so far.
We have matched the concepts of a large, traditional publishing house with the ease and ‘hands-on’ mentality of self-publishing, giving authors the very best chance in a tough and competitive industry. And though we continue to grow, we will never get away from what has made us successful – the personal interaction with our authors and the relationships we’ve built and now maintain with bookstore buyers, store managers, and distribution houses that allow us to penetrate the marketplace on an unprecedented level. Tate Publishing fully expects to continue to be a leader in a time when leaders are hard to find.
